Kul&Bulk case study

necessity

KUL&BULK Salt Company is a mining company and distributor of salts for industrial use and human consumption. In its business model, it has customers in various sectors of the national industry. From its beginnings, KUL&BULK used Dynamics 365 solutions to manage the entire sales and customer service process, from the opportunity to the sales billing. However, the sales process that occurs in the field did not efficiently cover order taking and direct sales, the salespeople did not enter the information correctly or they were left unfinished due to a lack of agility and fluidity in the process itself.

Solution

KUL&BULK had little time to solve this problem, as hundreds of tons of salt were already coming from Atacama to supply the demand for salts for human and industrial consumption. A team from KIS assessed the situation and in less than 72 hours launched the first version of an application with CRM extension functionalities for direct sales and order taking, developed in PowerApps and available for mobile phones and tablets.

Over time and due to the success of the developed tool, new functionalities were incorporated such as the deployment and delivery of tax documents (receipts and invoices), the management of the delivery of orders and the calculation of the critical route for orders in progress, which facilitated the delivery of tons of salts throughout Santiago.

Currently the application has 6 modules as extensions of the CRM for the functions of Sales, Orders, Dispatches, Production and warehouse movements.

Results

  • Sales and Orders taken in the field, recorded in CRM: Errors in order taking, prices, quantities and the correct product were reduced. In addition, new information is incorporated for the development of the after-sales.
  • Efficient management of orders in their different states. From the entry of the order or sale, to the delivery of the products to the customer, the application supports with route management, collection of evidence of the dispatch and the delivery of tax documents.
  • Development of a platform to extend new CRM functionalities. Over time, new functionalities such as dispatches, production management and movements in the warehouse were incorporated.
  • Cost reduction. Users require PowerApps licensing only.
